Role description
You will be joining a growing team, that fun that is leading the charge to modernize the systems and processes utilized by People and People Managers throughout the City's departments and agencies. As a first step in this effort, we have implemented a new cloud-based applicant tracking system and an API-integrated custom application to support our civil-service hiring processes. We are soon to begin phase two of the modernization program. This is your opportunity to make a difference from the beginning as we bring on the next major application.
Under general matrix leadership, reporting to the Technical Manager and the Head of Innovation and Analytics, your day may include any of these tasks:
Receipt, analysis, triage, and response to requests for support and information from Applicant Tracking System Subject Matter Experts (ATS-SMEs) in distributed departments throughout the City.
Understanding trends in requests for support and converting requests into Knowledge Base Articles and/or system bugs and feature requests.
Being a liaison between the engineering team and system users
Participating in the delivery of training, and open support sessions (office hours)
Developing an overall technical support strategy for the growing ecosystem of modern People Applications (HR Systems) and processes.
Develops and presents basic analysis of process health across People Applications
Participating in service design, strategy, and requirements gathering exercises
How to qualify
Minimum Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to possession of an associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field plus one year of experience providing technical support, corporate customer service, and/or professional development training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within Applicant Tracking Systems, HR Information Systems (HRIS/HCM), and/or Enterprise Resource Planning Systems.
Understanding of API driven integrations.
Experience developing and delivering technical documentation and/or training to non-technical audiences
Keen understanding of Human Resources principles and practices

Salary Range: $96,512 - $121,420
Exempt: This position is exempt from the Civil Service rules under Category 12, and serves at the discretion of the appointing officer.
Hybrid Work Schedule: The HR Modernization Team works on-site two days each week, and remotely for the remainder of the week.
