About:
The San Francisco Department of Public Health seeks a Project Manager for oversight, coordination, and owner representation on capital projects relevant to the implementation of Mental Health San Francisco initiatives. This portfolio currently includes the Residential Step-Down facility being developed in conjunction with MOHCD on Treasure Island; a Crisis Stabilization Unit; 2 Overdose Prevention Program Sites; a Mental Health Services Center; and the renovation of Southeast Health Center to house expanded Specialty Mental Health Services.

Role description
This is a full-time, special project position that may last up to 3 years (see Charter Section 10.104.18).
Duties Include
- Reviewing and monitoring project budgets and schedules
- Overseeing the completion of the projects from conceptual design and planning through to construction and move-in
- Coordinating work of a multi-disciplinary technical staff across DPH, DPW and private developer/contractor organizational boundaries
- Providing support and contextual review to project teams on work obtaining permits, project cost controls and schedule, and reviewing change orders
- Being primary contact for DPW, DPH, and developer partners
How to qualify
- Bachelor's Degree in architecture, engineering, planning, or landscape architecture
- plus 6 years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience
OR
- plus 6 years of responsible architectural, engineering or construction management experience
- Bachelor's Degree in another field
- plus 8 years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project
OR
- plus 8 years of responsible experience in a field directly related to the project
- No Degree
- plus 10 years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project
OR
- plus 10 years of architectural, engineering, or construction management experience in a field directly related to the project
- No Degree
- plus California registration as a professional engineer or architect
- plus 2 years of project coordination experience
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours of work experience (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week). Any overtime hours that you work above 40 hours a week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
