The Mission of the San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH) is to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans. SFDPH strives to achieve its mission through the work of two main Divisions - the San Francisco Health Network and Population Health.

The San Francisco Health Network is the City's only complete system of care and has locations throughout the City, including Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, and over 15 primary care health centers.

Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG) is an essential part of San Francisco’s health care system serving some 100,000 patients each year and providing 20 percent of the city’s inpatient care. Recognized as one of the nation’s top hospitals, we serve the community with a full complement of inpatient, outpatient, emergency, diagnostic and psychiatric services for adults and children 24-hours a day.

The Occupational Health Nurse works as a highly skilled registered nurse who possesses experience and expertise in occupational health nursing with emphasis on health care and the health care environment. This position requires daily oversight and coordination of both professional and administrative support staff to ensure compliance with all State, Federal and local regulations, particularly those associated with infectious disease issues as well as all applicable CAL/OSHA regulations to ensure a healthy and safe work environment for all employees assigned to the San Francisco Health Network as well as select city departments.

The list resulting from this recruitment may be used to fill Nurse Practitioner (Occupational Health) positions for the next six months.
