About City Distribution Division:
The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission’s City Distribution Division (Water Department) is responsible for directing approximately 322 employees in the operation and maintenance of the water distribution system within the City and County of San Francisco. These activities include, but are not limited to: operating and maintaining 9 pump stations, (16 hydro stations), 13 reservoirs, 8 storage tanks, 20 regulators as well as other ancillary appurtenances and equipment; installing, repairing and maintaining 1,266 miles of water distribution mains including service connections and meters; four water systems (potable, ERWS, recycled, G.W.); engineering and designing new main and feeder extensions; managing the flora and fauna on over 1,000 acres of city owned property and rights-of-ways; and responding to all two-alarm or greater fires to assist the Fire Department in maintaining adequate water volume and consistent pressure while fighting fires.
Role description
Project Name: CAMP (CDD Asset Management Platform)
Position Description:
The 7219 position at CDD will assisting in planning, site preparation, and scheduling crews on maintenance of water distribution assets and appurtenances. Coordinates scheduling with customers, crews, maintenance planners, engineers, customer service representatives and program managers; reviews and reports project progress and assembles data on maintenance and repair activities; uses the division's Maximo CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track program progress and manage project schedules; collaborates with other staff to upload data to the CMMS to ensure project completion and closeout; reports problems and roadblocks to management for remediation.
Essential Functions:
- Performs scheduling activities and implements improvements for CMMS Classifications and Asset Management processes and principals.
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the project team, as well as a key user acceptance tester, and is heavily engaged in the training and implementation rollout.
- Participates in all project-related activities, meetings, and documentation tasks, as well as developing before and after business processes and functional requirements for CDD work scheduling to align with the mobile platform within the Maximo CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Creates and develops deliverables such as the project's current and desired state, a full summary of business objectives, rules, project charter, and functional requirements.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Monday to Friday - 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

How to qualify

Experience:
One (1) year of verifiable administrative experience (i.e. coordinating such functions and procedures as maintaining records, compiling and assembling data, preparing documents, and controlling workflow) in facilities maintenance or construction. This experience must include using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) program.
