Salary: $55.60- $$67.57 Hourly
Fill Type: Temporary - Under 1040 hours in a fiscal year - Monday - Friday.
The Department of Public Health’s Merit Team is accepting applications for temporary exempt positions in class 1250 Recruiter to help the meet the urgent hiring needs and to protect and promote the health of all San Franciscans.

Under general direction, the recruiter will direct, coordinate and conduct recruitment activities supporting the Department of Public Health.
- Identifies, assesses and engages a diverse pool of potential qualified candidates through proactive networking, internal/external partnerships, print, on-line and in-person recruitment techniques.
- Develops and reviews recruitment plans and job announcements, makes presentations, and makes hiring recommendations.
- Develops and manages employer branding and marketing campaigns.
- Works closely with hiring managers to understand the hiring needs, collaborate on recruitment and hiring initiatives and inform the hiring managers on the progress of initiatives.
- Researches and evaluates approaches and strategies to recruitment; develops, maintains and analyzes statistics on recruitment activities; summarizes research and statistical findings in written reports.
- Assist job seekers in navigating the hiring process.
- Use social media as a tool and resource for talent acquisition.
Schedule/Hours: Typically, Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm. May include occasional weekend, evening, holidays, and on-call hours based on needs of the department.
How to qualify
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university;
Experience: Two (2) years of verifiable professional-level experience in recruitment
Additional qualifying work experience as a professional personnel analyst may be substituted for up to two (2) years of the required education on a year-for-year basis (30 semester/ 45 quarter units equals one year).
- Professional-level experience in public sector recruitment.
- Well versed in use of online social media such as LinkedIn, Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
- Proficient in recruiting tools such as LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and other sourcing tools.
- Experience in strategic networking and outreach including diversity outreach initiatives.

Medical Examination/Drug Testing:
