The San Francisco Department of Human Resource's Operations Division is accepting applications for a full-time Temporary Exempt (TEX) 1241 Human Resources Analyst to serve as the Conviction History Supervisor.

Role description

Under minimal supervision, the Conviction History Supervisor serves as the primary contact for departments and candidates engaged in the conviction history review process and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of DHR’s Conviction History Program.

Examples of Essential Duties include the following:

  • Supervise and direct the day-to-day operations of the Conviction History Program. 
  • Recommend and provide analysis for City-wide Conviction History Program’s direct compliance and alignment with the City policies, ordinances, and State and Federal regulations.
  • Serve as a primary resource/expert for Conviction History related matters.
  • Oversee and maintain the Conviction History Program’s audit criteria for processing No Longer Interested (NLI) request.
  • Maintain program procedures for subsequent notifications received from the California Department of Justice.
  • Serve as co-chair of the Conviction History Program Nexus Review Committee and thoroughly document all determinations.
  • Maintain Conviction History Program statistical reports.
  • Collaborate with Operations co-leads to develop a comprehensive cross-functional training program.
  • Provide Conviction History training for all City and County of San Francisco HR staff.

Education:

Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.

Substitution:

  • Education Substitution - Verifiable professional human resources work experience in one or more of the following areas may substitute for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis: recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee and/or labor relations, benefits administration; human resources operations; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and personnel training. (One year of experience will be considered equivalent to 30 semester or 45 quarter units of college coursework.)
